What They Told Us: Reviewing Last Week’s Key Polls

In surveys last week, this is what America told Rasmussen Reports:

- President Trump ended the polling week on Friday with a daily job approval of 41%.

- Democrats will impeach President Donald Trump again if they win the midterm congressional elections, most voters believe.

- Most voters don’t see President Donald Trump’s second term as a success, and a third believe he should resign from office.

- A majority of American voters have been following the news about rioting in France, and half agree with President Donald Trump’s comments on the subject.

- The Democratic Party now leads Republicans by five points in the battle to control the House of Representatives.

- Courtroom battles delaying election results are a concern for voters, most of whom have already made up their mind on their midterm vote.

- Halloween isn’t just for kids, most Americans say, and nearly a third of adults will be wearing costumes for the occasion.

- Americans continue to be concerned about inflation, especially higher gasoline prices.

- Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed has widened his lead over former Republican Rep. Mike Rogers in Michigan’s U.S. Senate race.

- Michigan’s Democratic Attorney General Jocelyn Benson leads by double digits over Republican Rep. John James in the race to be the state’s next governor.

- Democrat Rep. Chris Pappas now leads by six points over former Republican Sen. John Sununu in the race to fill the New Hampshire Senate seat vacated by the retirement of Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen.

- New Hampshire’s Republican Gov. Kelly Ayotte appears poised for reelection with a double-digit lead over Democratic challenger Cinde Warmington.

- Thirty-four percent (34%) of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction.
