82% of Voters Say Religious Liberty Important
Voters overwhelmingly believe religious freedom is important, and a majority are against requiring faith-based institutions to hire those who don’t share their beliefs.
A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports and Summit.org finds that 82% of Likely U.S. Voters think freedom of religion is important to a healthy American society, including 67% who say it’s Very Important. Only nine percent (9%) disagree, while another 9% say they’re not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.

The survey of 1,000 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on June 16-17, 2021 by Rasmussen Reports and Summit.org. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
