52% Think Biden Should Let Congress Lead
With the new session of Congress under way, voters are somewhat optimistic that things will get better, and a majority are convinced that President Joe Biden should let Congress lead.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 37% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the new Congress will be better than the one that has served for the past two years. Thirty-one percent (31%) think the new Congress will be worse, while 22% feel it will be about the same. Ten percent (10%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 900 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on January 5 and 8-9, 2023 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research.
