47% Think Democrats May Replace Biden as Candidate
Nearly half of voters think it’s likely the Democratic Party will find another candidate to replace President Joe Biden this year, and a former first lady is a favorite pick for the candidate switcheroo.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 47% of Likely U.S. Voters believe it is likely Democrats will replace Biden with another candidate as their presidential nominee before the election in November, including 22% who see it as Very Likely. Forty-five percent (45%) don’t think it’s likely Democrats will substitute another candidate for Biden, including 18% who consider such a scenario Not At All Likely. The survey of 960 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on February 18-20, 2024 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research.
