- Most voters support House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s proposal to raise the debt ceiling and reduce future deficit spending, and expect a compromise with the White House over the bill. - With Mother’s Day this Sunday, more Americans believe being a mom is an important job.
- Economic confidence decreased to 87.9 in this month’s Rasmussen Reports Economic Index, more than 10 points lower than April.
- Most Americans have a positive opinion of Amazon, and the online retail giant gets the highest ratings from customers who use the service most frequently.
- The Rasmussen Reports Immigration Index for the week of April 30-May 4, 2023, increased to 91.5, up slightly from 91.2 two weeks earlier.
- Thirty-six percent (36%) of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction.
