What They Told Us: Reviewing Last Week’s Key Polls - Week Ending June 11. 2022

In surveys last week, this is what America told Rasmussen Reports:

- President Biden ended the polling week with a daily job approval of 39%.

- As the average price of a gallon of gasoline nears $5, most Americans say the high cost has altered their summer vacation plans.

- Voters overwhelmingly support a Republican congresswoman’s demand for roll call votes in the House of Representatives, and also believe members of Congress should read the bills they pass into law.

- Americans are worried about the stock market and a majority now think the U.S. could soon face another Great Depression.

- Proposals to ban certain types of weapons, including AR-15 rifles, in the wake of recent mass shootings have voters divided over whether such legislation would be constitutional.

- The 2022 midterm elections are now 151 days away, and Republicans have a nine-point lead in their bid to recapture control of Congress.

- Economic confidence increased to 88.2 in this month’s Rasmussen Reports Economic Index, a half-point higher than May, when a sharp drop took the index to its lowest point in eight years.

- Americans continue to believe it’s good for young people to work during the summer, and most believe it won’t be hard for teens to find jobs.

- Twenty-three percent (23%) of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction.
