What They Told Us: Reviewing Last Week’s Key Polls - Week Ending November 6, 2021
In surveys last week, this is what America told Rasmussen Reports:
- President Biden ended the polling week with a daily job approval of 43.
- More than half of voters support workers refusing to comply with mandatory vaccination against COVID-19, and believe that firing workers for non-compliance would hurt the U.S. economy.
- In the wake of controversy surrounding comedian Dave Chappelle, Americans overwhelming say “cancel culture” is out of control, and believe free speech should be protected against censorship.
- Gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey are being widely interpreted by the media as a referendum on President Joe Biden’s popularity, but most voters don’t see it that way.
- In the aftermath of the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal, voter appraisal of President Joe Biden’s leadership has shifted sharply and a majority now view him as a weaker leader than his predecessors.
- The market for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin is soaring, and the chance to get rich is the main selling point for investors.
- A growing majority of Americans believe that the United States should legalize marijuana nationwide.
- The Rasmussen Reports Immigration Index for the week of October 24-28, 2021, increased to 88.3 up from 86.2 two weeks earlier.
- Twenty-nine percent (29%) of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction.
